GARY L. BROOKS, J.D. attended Reed
College and received his Bachelors degree with High Honors from the University of Oklahoma
in 1972. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Law in 1975. Mr. Brooks is
admitted to practice in Oklahoma, Texas and the District of Columbia. In addition, he is
admitted to practice in the following Federal Courts: U.S. Supreme Court; 10th Circuit
Court of Appeals; U.S. Claims Court; and U.S. District Courts for the Western District of
Oklahoma, the Northern District of Oklahoma, the Northern District of Texas, and the
Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association,
District of Columbia Bar, State Bar of Texas, Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association
(President -1999); American Society of Law and Medicine, The Association of Trial
Lawyers of America (Sustaining Member), ATLA Birth Trauma Litigation Group,
Mensa,

Mr. Brooks has practiced law in Oklahoma City since 1975. He currently is the
principal in the firm of Gary L. Brooks & Associates. Mr. Brooks has concentrated his
practice in the field of medical negligence with an emphasis on birth trauma cases. He
also handles products liability and other personal injury cases involving death, brain
injury, or catastrophic injuries. He has obtained numerous million dollar or greater
verdicts and settlements for his clients. Mr. Brooks has written numerous articles and is
a frequent speaker at legal and medical programs. His office frequently has medical
residents rotate through in order to become more familiar with the practical
workings of the legal system.
ANN BROOKS, J.D., received her
Bachelors degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1990 and is a 1993 graduate of
the University of Oklahoma School of Law. In addition to Oklahoma she is admitted to
practice before the United States Court of Appeals, for the Tenth Circuit, and U.S.
District Court, for the Western and Northern Districts of Oklahoma. Ann is a member of the
Oklahoma and American Bar Associations, Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association (Parliamentarian
- 1999), The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the American Society of Law,
Medicine and Ethics. Since her admission to the bar, Ann has primarily practiced in the
area of medical malpractice. In addition to medical malpractice, Ann has completed a
comprehensive course on Family and Divorce Mediation based on training guidelines set
forth by the Academy of Family Mediators.
